Use this formula: We help [customer] solve [problem] by [solution/outcome].
The problem
Explain what is broken, who experiences it, how often it happens and what it costs.
- Who has the problem?
- How painful or expensive is it?
- What do they do today instead?
- Why is now the right time to solve it?
Your solution
Describe the product in plain language. Avoid technical detail unless it directly explains the advantage.
- What does the product actually do?
- How does the customer use it?
- Why is it meaningfully better?
Proof and traction
Use the strongest evidence you have, even if you are early.
Market and business model
Tell the room who pays, what they pay, and why there are enough buyers to build a meaningful company.
The team
Focus on relevant capability: industry knowledge, technical ability, distribution, customer access, prior execution or unique insight.
Your ask
Do not make the room guess. Ask for exactly what moves the company forward.
Close in one sentence
Restate the opportunity and your ask. Then stop. Give the panel room to ask questions.
Can you answer all eight sections clearly?
